Red Oak, Texas

The town of Red Oak was named after its very own Red Oak Creek by why Colonel James E. Patton settled with his family in 1844. Around a decade later, Red Oaks first store and post office was built. Then in 1890 the Missouri-Kansas-Texas railroad created a stop about one mile away from town which initiated much expansion and much later in 1949, the town was legally incorporated. Today the town of Red Oak has an impressive portfolio of industries, businesses, higher education, banking and finance institutions, and a great variety of entertainment from retailers and restaurants. Homeowner’s here have been pleased to watch a rise in the values of their homes ever since 2012.
