Princeton, Texas

In the 1870s a few farming families settled near what today is called Princeton, Texas. Then in 1881 the Missouri-Kansas-Texas railroad decided to extend a line through the property which helped things begin to grow. To apply for a local post office they started calling their town Princeton and then the town was officially incorporated in 1912. The town quickly became a retail and commercial area for farmers and mills and grain elevators were built. In the 1920’s the town was thriving with 500 residents, electricity, paved road ways, +25 businesses, a bank, and a local newspaper. Today the city is proud of its beautiful parks, cultural opportunities, sport recreational facilities, churches and newly developed retail shops and restaurants. Homeowners here have enjoyed an increase in the values of their home since 2012. With over 500 new construction home communities to choose from, there seems to be something that suits everyone in Princeton.
